There are regular polls conducted by Ipsos-Mori in the UK in which respondents are asked the question of what news has been in their mind in the past while. The results of that are almost always a shock to those inside the ‘Westminster bubble’ as they rarely tally with whatever story has been vexing them. I think we can take from that that the general public don’t care as much for political tittle-tattle as we do, something that I suspect should be considered carefully by those seeking the support of the general public; things like GSOC are rarely going to be the issues to grandstand on.
