Thanks ever so much for that. I was aware of it, rather than “following” (I usually need somebody else to explain the details to me, as this piece does). Esperanza Aguirre, wh the piece mentions, is an exceptionally shameless and dangerous individual.
I’m also aware that state prosecutors have been notably lax in pursuing cases against prominent individuals, the most exceptional case being the attempt to prevent a judge proceeding against the Infanta (the king’s daughter) in a case of crude and manifest corruption.
