To come back to something which was mentioned before.
Gerry Adams brought up John Larkin’s dubious amnesty proposals in the Dail. Now here is an issue which directly involves Sinn Fein’s paramilitary past. We’ve had people on here claiming that this issue is only ever brought up in the Dail by Kenny and Gilmore because they are filled with indignation at the horrible deeds of the IRA which must be mentioned at every opportunity.
Yet today there was none of that, in fact Kenny was measured in his response without a mention of past atrocities. It seems that the corpses of the past are only exhumed and waved round the chamber when Sinn Fein directly criticise government policy, particularly on Health. Funny that.
