I’ve read the book. I think Browne tries harder than he has to to be fair to Bono, but otherwise, it is just the hatchet job he’s had coming for years. The simple listing of all the hypocrisies would be enough on its own, but the way Browne counterposes Bono’s statements, Bono’s actions, and reality makes it essential reading. One passage is especially good, where he dissects the Louis Vuitton African ad campaign that Bono and Ali Hewson appeared in.
