And to keep the Seanad.
I like to watch the Seanad; it seems far more ‘personable’ than the Dail proceedings. The Dail can seem to be far too regimented and deliberately restricted in expression.
The word ‘reform’ seems to be being said a lot about the Seanad, and people might worry that ‘reform’ might construe into some kind of extra powers (and therefore extra oppression?).
But if some kinds of new dimensions, as in some area/community activists, homeless, unemployed, activists; (and, of course, this being a capitalist kind of country) – some autonomous financiers? were put in, (and less party political people); it might be more relevant and interesting.
